Welcome to Circling The Line My
name is Michelle Savage and I am a freelance filmmaker from Norwich in
the UK. I won a Millennium Award from an organization called On The Line to make connections with women in microcredit projects in countries on the Meridian Line. The first part of the project was to set up this website to exchange information. The second part was to travel to Ghana in July 2001 to film women at work there. I had a wonderful trip - you can read all about it and see photographs in the Ghana Gazette When I got back to the UK I organised displays about the project in local libraries and shops and had a photo exhibition in Take 5 cafe bar. On Saturday 22nd September 2001 my 9 minute film had a premiere at Cinema City, Norwich. We also watched the film I'd made about the local Full Circle project. Over 80 people came to the event and you can find out what they thought of it on the Film Reviews page. If you'd like to see the Ghana film right now, click here VHS video copies of the film are available to schools, colleges, careers services, credit unions - anyone who wants to inspire people about different ways to make a living and take control of their lives. If you would like a copy of the video please e-mail me at shell@shellytelly.co.uk
